Our Data

All data on this website has been sourced from the Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings 2018 (provisional), which is available through the ONS on: https://www.ons.gov.uk/employmentandlabourmarket/peopleinwork/earningsandworkinghours/bulletins/genderpaygapintheuk/2018

All pay gap data on the website is calculated as the difference between average hourly earnings (excluding overtime) of men and women as a proportion of average hourly earnings (excluding overtime) of men.

All pay gap data on this website is taken from the median gender pay gap, unless otherwise stated.

All pay gap pound data on this website is calculated as 100 pence, plus or minus the median gender pay gap. For example, veterinarians have a gender pay gap of 2.6. 100 pence minus 2.6 is a gender pay gap pound value of £0.97. Where appropriate values have been rounded up to the nearest penny.
